pingd

Terms of Use

Effective October 5, 2026

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and pingd (“pingd,” “we,” “us”) for using the pingd app. By using pingd, you agree to them. If you’re under 18, please read them with a parent or guardian. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

2. The app

pingd helps you keep track of homework. You can use it for free, without an account. We may add, change or remove features over time.

3. Accounts

An account is optional. You need one to back up your homework or to subscribe to pingd PRO. Accounts are for people 13 and older. You sign in with codes sent to your email, so keep your email account secure. You’re responsible for what happens in your pingd account. You can delete it at any time in the app.

4. pingd PRO subscriptions

5. Your content

The homework, notes and classes you add are yours. If you back them up to an account, you let us store them only so we can provide the backup to you.

6. Using pingd responsibly

Please don’t misuse pingd. That includes trying to access other people’s accounts or data, interfering with or overloading the service, copying or reverse engineering the app except where the law allows it, or using pingd to break the law.

7. Reminders are a helper, not a guarantee

pingd helps you remember homework, but notifications can be delayed or blocked by your phone’s settings, battery saving, or other things outside our control, and dates understood from what you type may not always be right. Always check your assignments with your teacher or school. pingd isn’t responsible for missed assignments, late work or grades.

8. Other services

pingd relies on services such as the Apple App Store, Google Play and, in future, school apps you choose to connect. Their own terms apply when you use them, and we’re not responsible for them.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using pingd and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts pingd or its users at risk.

10. Disclaimer

pingd is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we don’t promise that it will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, pingd won’t be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data. Our total liability for any claim about pingd is limited to the amount you paid us for pingd PRO in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

12. Apple

If you got pingd from the Apple App Store, these terms are between you and pingd, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for pingd or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You also agree to the App Store’s own usage rules.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant. If you keep using pingd after a change, you accept the updated terms.
